Oral Presentations
Oral Sessions
- Oral presentations will be in-person or synchronous remote during the assigned oral session.
- The order of presentations is available on the Sessions page.
- Oral presenters will have 20 minutes to present within their session.
- 15 minutes for the presentation.
- 5 minutes to respond to questions.
- Remote presentations will be made in an online meeting room via Zoom assigned to each session track.
- Links to the session track meeting rooms will be posted on the website.
- Remote presenters are expected to be available in the Zoom meeting room to present and respond to questions during their assigned oral session.
Poster Presentations
Poster Requirements
- All poster presenters must have a printed poster displayed at the venue.
- Poster size: 4ft x 3ft (48in x 36in)
- Poster orientation: Landscape
- Poster printing is available through the venue for an additional fee.
- Remote presenters are expected to use this service.
- Please see the ‘Poster Printing’ section below for further details.
Poster Sessions
- Poster presentations will be in-person or synchronous remote during the designated poster session.
- Posters will be grouped by the assigned theme in the right-most column of the Sessions page.
- Remote discussions will be held in an online meeting room via Zoom.
- Moderators will facilitate the creation of breakout rooms for discussion as necessary.
- A QR code and link will be posted on the website and displayed at the venue by the organizers.
- It is not necessary to display the QR code or link on the poster.
- Remote presenters are expected to be available in the online meeting room for discussion during their assigned poster session.
Poster Teaser Video
- All posters (in-person and remote) must have a one-minute (maximum) video ‘teaser’.
- Teaser videos will be posted on the ICDAR 2023 website, and will continue to be available after the conference.
- Files should be named using the poster session ID (found here: Sessions)
- e.g. P1.4-teaser.mp4
- Authors can upload the teaser video here:

Poster Printing
- Poster printing at the venue has been organized through Bay Area Poster Board.
- Posters printed using this service will be delivered to the conference venue and displayed during the appropriate poster session by the conference organizers.
- Arrangements for poster printing can be made using this downloadable form:
Bay Area Poster Board – Research Poster Printing (pdf) - Cost for the 36″ x 48″ paper poster is $84 + tax = $91.88.
- Payment will be arranged by Bay Area Poster Board after the form is submitted.
- Please submit posters using this service by Monday, August 14th.
Competition Presentations
Competition Oral Presentations
- Four of the competitions have been selected for ORAL presentations during the Competitions Session.
- Oral presentations do not require a poster or teaser video.
- Authors should follow the instructions for ORAL presentations.
- If none of the authors will be present in person, one of the authors should follow the instructions for the remote presentation of ORAL papers.
Competition Poster Presentations
- All non-oral competitions will have a poster in one of the two poster sessions:
Poster Session 1
Poster Session 2 - Authors should follow the instructions for POSTER presentations.
- If none of the authors will be present in person, one of the authors should follow the instructions for the remote presentation of POSTERS.
Remote Presentations
- Remote presenters (who have obtained permission from the secretariat) should follow the instructions posted in the Oral and Poster Presentation sections.
- Zoom meeting room links will be provided on the website and at the conference for the Oral session tracks and the Poster sessions.
- Remote presentations must be made using the provided Zoom meeting rooms. Other meeting platforms are not supported.
